New work launch
Proud to see the launch of a new website design for one of my clients today. Local CH&PS are a heating and plumbing company based in Rayleigh, Essex.
Tom approached me after a recommendation from my friend, accountant and NEW partner Kylie Fieldhouse. (Thank you Kylie!)
I first started working on the design in April of this year. The brief was to produce a logo that worked well on a black background and had a flame design. After a discussion with Tom it was obvious he liked logo designs that had a symbol that was incorporated within the wording. The emphasis had to be on the ‘local’ part. Although it is intentional that the name can be read as ‘Local Chaps’ (Local Central Heating and Plumbing Services) this was not something the wanted to make too much of so concentrating on the ‘LOCAL’ was key. I came up with the idea of using an icon that represented ‘local’ which was perfectly portrayed by using the pin that is used on digital maps to select a place or area. I then used colours and the negative space to create a flame.
Today we launched the Local CH&PS website.
Check out the website at www.localcentralheating.co.uk
This site has a large hero image (keeping with the colours used!) with testimonials from customers that fade in and out on top of the image. Call to action buttons lead to the Services or to the contact details and quote form. There is a short introduction to the business as well as some images to show the work that can be done.
The services page features icons for all the areas they cover. In time if the site grows these could become buttons that then navigate to more information. Tom wanted to include a review feature so that customers could leave testimonials direct to his website. He will also be able to upload any others he gets from elsewhere.
As with all my websites, this website has a valid SSL certificate and is fully optimised for mobile. Its been a great project to work on and I love the whole design and seeing how the branding is coming together over various items including van graphics and clothing.
