I was recommended to Tom for brand identity by another client and friend of mine. He has run his own central heating and plumbing company for a couple of years now and wanted a brand identity that would really stand out. The brief was to produce a logo that worked well on a black background (his van was black) and had a flame design. After discussing with the client, they liked logo designs that had a symbol that was incorporated within the wording. The emphasis had to be on the ‘local’ part. Although it is intentional that the name can be read as ‘Local Chaps’ (Local Central Heating and Plumbing Services) this was not something the client wanted to make too much of so concentrating on the ‘LOCAL’ part was key.
