We Don’t Just Design Logos and Websites, We Help Shape Brands
If the title of this post looks confusing, we understand. Shaping brands is usually the responsibility of marketing experts, not expert designers.
But the process of designing a company’s logo or website (or both) involves a lot of detailed research on our part, and a lot of soul-searching on theirs. Both help define what a brand is really about.
It also helps that we genuinely care about getting our designs right: not just from an eye-catchingly visual point-of-view, but from the company’s. We naturally want our creative work to reflect well on us, but that won’t happen unless it reflects well on you.
Your logo – and your website – are visual identifiers for your brand.
Understandably, some people think a brand and a logo are the same thing. But there is a big difference.
- Your brand is a combination of everything people see, hear, think, and feel about your business.
- Your logo is part of your brand’s visual identity.
Your logo and website have to do a lot of heavy lifting, because they’re often the first things potential customers will see when they look for your business online. That’s why our designs can’t just be original, creative, and eye-catching. They also have to represent everything your brand is.
So be warned: we ask a LOT of questions!
If we’re designing a logo and/or a website for you, we need as much detail as possible. That means we’ll ask everything from how you came up with your business name, to the best words that describe your brand.
We’ll also talk style and colour. Not just the colours you love, but the ones you don’t want to be associated with your business. Because if you’ve always hated purple, you won’t enjoy seeing it on your company website.
Our questions are designed to help us learn more about the brands we’re designing for. But many of our clients have commented that they’ve helped THEM learn more about their brands, too!
